From the general articles being posted recently ( and besides MS’ marketing information ), it would appear that Microsoft are losing kudus with their customers. I say this with consideration of the following:
- bugs are not being fixed even in Patch Tuesday for some time
- Vista has not apparently made the inroads MS expected
- system builders are reverting to XP based on customer comments about Vista
- Â Office 2007 has presented both a difficult learning curve as well as problematic compatibility with prior packages
- Dell has anounced new systems with Ubuntu preinstalled
The next few months and years will be very interesting fro proprietary software vendors.
