SGI gone?

Well this is probably the biggest ( and saddest ) news of the day – SGI has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US. Having being taken out of the workstation/graphics market by cheap 3D cards from NVidia and ATI, as well as linux render farms, SGI has increasingly looked to the HPC market to flog its wares. However, cheap linux HPC clusters runing Rocks, openSSI or similar are not something they appear to have dealt very well with.
